Responsibilities
:
1. Manage preconstruction activities from bid stage (up to stage 3) through to handover to delivery teams.
2. Work collaboratively with estimators, planners, design managers, and bid writers.
3. Lead and coordinate bid submissions, ensuring compliance with DfE frameworks and requirements.
4. Engage with consultants and clients to develop innovative, value-engineered solutions.
5. Drive programme, cost, and design certainty during preconstruction phases.
6. Present strategies and proposals to internal and external stakeholders.
Key Requirements:
7. Proven experience as a Preconstruction Manager, Bid Manager or Design Manager (Precon) within main contracting.
8. Demonstrable track record of successfully managing DfE education projects/bids.
9. Exceptional communication, leadership, and organisational skills
10. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Location:
Ideal locations for the Preconstruction Manager to live would be north Birmingham, Staffordshire, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire or South Yorkshire
