A highly reputable Sixth Form college in Cambridge is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Lecturer in Electrical Installations to join its dedicated teaching team. Role Overview:
The successful candidate will deliver high-quality teaching and learning across a range of electrical installation courses, ensuring students develop the necessary knowledge and practical skills to succeed in their studies and future careers. The role will also involve curriculum development, assessment, and providing pastoral support to students.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons in Electrical Installations.
* Assess, monitor, and support students to achieve their full potential.
* Contribute to the development of course materials and curriculum planning.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the workshop environment.
* Provide guidance and mentorship to students, fostering a positive learning experience.
* Participate in departmental and college-wide initiatives to enhance student outcomes.
Requirements:
* A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent) or a willingness to obtain one.
* A relevant qualification in Electrical Installations (Level 3 or higher).
* Industry experience within the electrical sector.
* Knowledge of current industry standards and practices.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
* Previous teaching or training experience is desirable but not essential.
