You will be responsible for the planning and delivery of practical teaching sessions, including the farm work experience duties as part of the agricultural teaching team. Sessions will need to be planned along with the course leaders, the lecturing team, farm manager and the farm staff to ensure a high-quality experience, appropriate to the level of study and to best current industry practice. Sessions will develop the students practical skills, showcase best practice and support the development of students with employability skills.
This may include practical applications of English and maths skills, attention to behaviours expected in the workplace such as punctuality, appropriate dress and due consideration to health and safety.
The post holder will be joining the colleges agricultural team, whom pride themselves on their commitment to constantly improving and developing teaching, learning and assessment techniques and strategies. You would be working in an environment where you will be encouraged to devote time to innovative teaching approaches which will stimulate the students and ensure that the provision continues to be bigger, better and different.
