Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Shirebrook Pay Rate: £85 - £120 per day GSL Education is looking for a compassionate and skilled SEN Teaching Assistant to support Secondary Schools in Shirebrook. We highly value candidates with knowledge of British Sign Language (BSL) to provide effective support for students with hearing impairments and additional needs. Job Responsibilities: Assist in the delivery of lessons, offering tailored support to students with Special Educational Needs, including those requiring BSL assistance. Foster an inclusive and nurturing classroom environment that promotes student well-being and learning. Support students with communication, behavior, and social development, using BSL where appropriate. Work closely with teachers, parents, and external professionals to implement individual learning plans. Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their growth. Requirements: Experience working with children with SEN in an educational setting. Knowledge of British Sign Language is desirable. Understanding of SEN strategies and behavior management techniques.
