This Decom Tech will be part of a team that executes the decommissioning & tracking of all equipment that is damaged or leaving the Datacentre. This includes but is not limited to all media types (disks, solid state disks, flash cards etc). The Decom Tech will be responsible for ensuring that all operational processes are followed during any decommissioning event and must ensure all work is carried out safely and securely.

* Take ownership of technical issues engaging other teams when needed to drive resolution
* Demonstrate a strong aptitude for troubleshooting and problem solving
* Strong problem-solving skills, driving investigations to root cause
* Ensure all safety procedures are adhered to while performing work
* Fully comply with all physical security procedures and policies
* Maintain service level agreements through the implementation of proactive issue detection and reporting
* Improve effectiveness through process innovation
* Must be commutable to the Thames Valley Region., Data Centres are 24/7 environments and whilst this role is predominantly an in-hours role there maybe occasional out of hours work including weekends based on workload.
* 3+ years of working in an IT operations environment across datacentres or managed services., Associate's degree or higher in IT-related field applicable certifications or/and equivalent professional experience.
* 3+ year of Computer Hardware experience and 3+ years of Computer Networking experience. Knowledge of network cabling, optic types, and test equipment and previous experience working in a Data Centre environment
* All candidates must possess a valid driver's license, their own vehicle, and will need to pass a driving record check to operate company vehicles. Travel between sites/locations during the workday may occur.
