Lead Compensation Specialist

Are you a highly analytical professional with a passion for designing impactful executive compensation programs? We are seeking a Lead Compensation Specialist to join our team and play a key role in attracting, retaining, and motivating top executive talent.
About the Role:
This role will see you designing, implementing, and administering competitive executive compensation programs, including base salary, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, deferred compensation, and perquisites. You will benchmark compensation against industry best practices, model compensation plan costs, be involved in the preparation of papers and reports and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations. Ideally, you should have an interest or experience in the understanding of executive compensation principles, regulatory requirements, and market trends.
Reporting to the Executive Compensation Manager, your responsibilities will include:
* Developing and maintaining competitive executive compensation programs, including determining appropriate financial and non-financial metrics.
* Conducting market research and benchmarking analysis.
* Modeling the financial impact of compensation plan designs.
* Administering all aspects of executive compensation programs, including documentation and compliance.
* Preparing materials for Compensation Committee meetings.
* Partnering with legal counsel to ensure regulatory compliance.
* Collaborating with HR functions to align compensation programs with overall HR strategy.
* Staying abreast of current trends and best practices in executive compensation.
* Analyzing program effectiveness and recommending improvements.
What you will need:
* Analytical, problem-solving, and data accuracy skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
* An interest in executive compensation and an awareness of the governance environment (SEC, Investment Association, FRC) is desirable.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
* Excellent project management skills.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality.
