The Post:
The Clinical Directorate (CD) team deliver a portfolio of corporate clinical and professional governance services to NSS and support to PHS related to NMAHP professional governance. The postholder will work closely with all professional leads across all professionals in the CD and all directorates across NSS to achieve clinical governance, professional governance and quality improvement. The post involves managing implementation of the national NMAHP agenda and wider governance and quality improvement within NSS
The Candidate:
We are looking for candidates who have a passion for governance, improvement and creating learning systems with a high degree of autonomy. The ideal candidate will have well-developed nursing professional experience as well as wider organisational experience related to governance and improvement. As the role involves managing multiple workstreams concurrently, and being responsive to reactive need related to adverse events or incidents, excellent planning and organising skills are essential. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced senior nurse to join a well-established and high performing team clinical team involved in corporate governance.
The successful candidate will be required to undergo a PVG Scheme/Disclosure Scotland check. Any candidate who have lived/worked overseas for more than 12 months in the preceding 5 years will also be required to provide a criminal record check from the appropriate overseas agency.
Candidates must have current NMC registration at the time of applying.
Location and Working Pattern:
Hybrid working, base is Glasgow or Edinburgh
Working pattern is Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week
It is a condition of this employment that you must live and remain a resident within the UK for the post in which you will be employed with NSS.
