Reed Accountancy are delighted to be working with an amazing client in the legal sector who are seeking a Debt Recovery Team Leader to join their team on a permanent basis. This role is crucial for ensuring maximum client conversion and effective debt recovery. The successful candidate will lead a team of Debt Recovery Agents, ensuring that both monthly and annual targets are met. Day-to-day of the role: Lead and manage a team of Debt Recovery Agents. Ensure the achievement of monthly and annual targets for client conversion and debt recovery. Identify and address training and development needs within the team. Conduct regular one-to-one meetings with team members. Liaise with clients regarding their compensation claims. Perform residency and other relevant searches. Assess debtors’ ability to pay and negotiate accordingly. Handle the commencement of Pre-Action Protocols and issue Part 7 and Part 8 Proceedings. Draft court documents, including applications for Attachment of Earnings Orders and Charging Orders. Prepare witness statements and cases for trial. Maintain effective communication with in-house legal teams and other businesses within the group. Instruct and liaise with external agencies. Ensure compliance with Information Security Policies, including data confidentiality and the operational security of the Information Systems used. Uphold the core values of the organisation. Required Skills & Qualifications: Minimum of 12 months experience leading a team. Proven experience in handling clients and managing the claims process. At least 12 months of litigation experience in debt recovery. Familiarity with claims arising from breach of contract. Thorough knowledge of Pre-Action Protocols and Civil Procedure Rules. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong motivational, coaching, and support skills. Experience working towards deadlines and performance objectives. Ability to assist with communicating vision, strategy, and demonstrating commercial awareness. Flexible approach to implementing change.
