Job Title: Project Accountant
Function: Finance
Reporting to: Financial Controller (moving to the UK Management Accountant within 6 months)
Scope: Clarke Energy Ltd
Location: Knowsley – Hybrid working available
Job Purpose: To manage the financial side of projects in the UK – all regions
Majority of time spent: Management of projects financials within Microsoft Navision
Responsibilities:
* Creation of new projects within Microsoft Navision 4PS.
* Liaising with the project monthly to ascertain the amount of revenue which can be recognised for each project (as per IFRS 15).
* Liaising with Sales regarding new and ongoing projects.
* Amending project budgets as per direction from the project department.
* Raising Projects sales invoices as required.
* Responsible for the projects schedule showing forecasted revenue recognition.
* Application for new bonds and extensions to existing bonds.
* Read customer and Innio contracts and liaise with parties involved to ensure full understanding of requirements.
* Represent finance within project handover meetings.
* Involvement with internal and external audit from a project perspective.
* Analyse and run the WIP, including analysis and cost allocation.
* Involvement in annual budgeting and quarterly forecasts regarding expected project revenue recognition for UK project sales.
* Liaise with other countries regarding commission calculations from overseas project sales.
* Analyse costs within projects and the P&L.
* Ascertain which Innio engine payments can be made on bi-weekly payment run.
* Future duties will include staff management.
* Other ad hoc duties to assist the department.
* Perform administrative duties as required.
* Follow and adhere to Health, Safety and Environmental standards and regulations as appropriate.
Technical/Professional Knowledge and Skills:
* Part Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA (final level – willing to complete it within 2 years) or QBE.
* Experience of Work In Progress (WIP) as per IFRS 15 – Revenue Recognition is preferred but not essential as training will be provided.
* Exposure to supervision or management of a team is preferred but not essential.
* Understanding of customer and supplier contracts is preferred.
* Excellent computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel/Office.
* Good knowledge of accounting packages – Navision 4PS would be advantageous.
* Good level of business understanding.

Recruitment and Succession Requirements:
Essential:
* Computer skills – Microsoft Excel/Office in particular.
* Further accountancy studies to commence after starting with the business for progression.
Desirable:
* Experience of working in an engineering environment or similar.
* Experience of Work In Progress (WIP) as per IFRS 15 – Revenue Recognition.
* Experience of credit control.
* Experience using Navision 4PS.
