Our client, a well-established and reputable company based near Glasgow, is seeking a talented Quantity Surveyor to join their team and play a key role in delivering high-quality steel structure projects across the UK.
The Role
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the financial management of steel structure projects from inception to completion, ensuring profitability and cost-effectiveness. Your duties will include:
Preparing cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents
Managing contracts, variations, and valuations
Conducting site visits and liaising with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
Ensuring compliance with contractual terms and company policies
Identifying and managing risks while maximising commercial opportunities
Preparing and presenting financial reports
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction or steel structures industry
Strong knowledge of contract management, procurement, and cost control
Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
Proficiency in relevant software and estimating tools
Degree or relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field
