Owner managed group of companies based near Dronfield have an opportunity for a versatile and hands-on Bookkeeper.
This is an office-based role with plenty of variety and autonomy. It is hoped you will step into the Financial Controller / Head of Accounts role over the next few years (as the incumbent approaches retirement).
The initial remit encompasses all of the transactional accounting requirements for the group (10+ smaller businesses within the construction and property management arena).
You’ll support the Head of Finance in producing accounts to TB level and ensuring month-end is efficient and well managed. Management Accounts are finalized by the external accountants and you will liaise with them regularly.

The current systems and processes are slick and working well; however, the business leaders are open to change, suggestions, and new ideas if you see room for improvement.

Required:
* AAT as a minimum.
* Solid core accounting skills and experience (you need to know your debits and credits!).
* Confidence using Excel and Sage packages.
* Able to work in a team.
* Someone who enjoys working in a hands-on finance role within a growing SME.
