Exciting opportunities have arisen for Registered Nurses to join our Critical Care team at East Suffolk and North Essex Foundation Trust.
Do you possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work confidently and collaboratively across professional boundaries? If so, we are looking for highly motivated nurses who are passionate about the care of patients to join our well-established critical care team in delivering a 24/7 service.
The post involves delivering excellent and individualised clinical care to our patients and their families, and you will be fully supported to achieve this through our comprehensive educational strategy.
Depending on your level of experience, you will develop your competence and confidence through a programme of supervised practice, critical care specific competencies, and a series of development days specifically for band 5 staff.
Full time and part time hours are available for this post.
Main duties of the job
* You will work within a Clinical Specialist team and contribute to activities and projects with the goal of professional and practice development.
* The Critical Care Unit forms part of the East of England Critical Care Delivery Network and utilises a paperless clinical information system.
You will be expected to undertake internal rotation and weekend duties, and although you will be predominantly based on one site, there may be the requirement to work across the Critical Care units on either site.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Registered Nurse Level 1 or 2 or awaiting results.
* Evidence of continuing professional development.
* Willingness to work towards achievement of critical care qualification.
* Mentorship module or willingness to work towards achievement.
* Willingness to undertake further education.
Experience
* Worked within the healthcare setting.
* Experience in critical care environment.
Knowledge
* Knowledge and understanding of evidence-based practice.
* Understanding and ability to apply clinical governance principles to practice.
* Knowledge of developments in speciality and current issues driving nursing in general.
* Nursing care of acutely unwell patients.
Skills
* Ability to work effectively in a team and lead as required.
* Excellent interpersonal skills.
* Ability to delegate.
* Ability to manage own workload.
* Ability to communicate at appropriate level both written and verbal.
* Motivated and enthusiastic.
