Inspection Coordinator Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 p/a Location: Ellesmere Port A globally recognised manufacturer of specialised chemical products is on the lookout for a detail-oriented and highly organised Inspection Coordinator to step in to an important and central role at their plant near Ellesmere Port. The successful candidate will be entrusted with the responsibility of initiating, leading and implementing the inspection plans and schedules across all site areas, ensuring full compliance with legislation and adherence to critical SHE standards. What You'll Do As Inspection Coordinator, your primary role will be to initiate and leading the programme of integrity inspections for various systems and equipment across all site areas. Your systematic approach to organisation, planning, implementation of work, and record-keeping will be essential in this role. You will also be expected to keep yourself updated in your specialist subjects. Initiate, lead & implement the programme of integrity inspection for equipment & systems across all site areas. Manage the contract for the pipeline inspection programme. Oversee the programme of site fixed ladder access integrity. Conduct regular audits of inspection systems and procedures to ensure site compliance with relevant legislation. Maintain efficient administration & record keeping (both electronic and paper). Manage Ageing Asset integrity programme. Organise the review, inspection and test of pressure relief valves and bursting discs. Ensure quality control for fabrication of pipelines. Manage contracts for third party inspection. What You Bring The ideal candidate for the role of Inspection Coordinator will bring a wealth of experience from a functional inspection background, but with your career history also demonstrating the ability to organise, coordinate and monitor internal colleagues or external professionals. Time served apprenticeship, HNC in Mechanical Engineering or similar. CSWIP Plant Inspection qualification, or thorough knowledge of welding inspection Sound knowledge of materials of construction, detailed equipment design and fabrication methods (Tank Inspection / EEMUA 159 knowledge is desirable) Understanding of continuous improvement processes, with project experience. Familiarity with SAP and MS Office would be ideal. Experience with resource planning systems for shutdowns and routine maintenance.
