Lead Electrical Engineer - Building Services / Niche Projects / Permanent Position / £55k-£65k (DOE) + Car Allowance + Excellent Benefit Package
A new opportunity for a Lead Electrical Engineer to work with a successful global leader in developing innovative business solutions for the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. This business designs and constructs clean rooms and offers their services to well-known pharmaceutical companies.
The role is based at their modern, well-equipped office in Cheshire, known as a great place to work. The company collaborates with major pharmaceutical giants on projects worth millions of pounds.
They are seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to assist with new and upcoming projects involving pharmaceutical and cleanroom facilities in the UK. The business values collaboration and innovation.
In particular, they are looking for someone comfortable with client-facing responsibilities. The minimum requirements are an HNC and 5 years+ experience within the industry. Preference will be given to those with GMP/Pharma experience, but those without will not be discounted.
Responsibilities
1. Managing project-specific electrical design deliverables
2. Developing detailed designs in line with company procedures and industry standards
3. Interpreting client requirements and ensuring compliance with specifications
4. Conducting site surveys, feasibility studies, and optioneering exercises
5. Producing procurement specifications and detailed construction drawings
6. Overseeing third-party designs and supporting installation & commissioning teams
7. Reviewing vendor Functional Design Specifications for compliance
8. Completing design calculations and full power system modelling (AMTECH)
9. Developing electrical scopes, specifications, cable schedules, and telemetry schedules
10. Performing design risk assessments and maintaining project documentation
