What You’ll Be Doing As an ECT in Physics, your role will involve: Teaching Physics across Key Stages 3 and 4, ensuring students develop a passion for the subject and a deep understanding of key concepts. Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated Physics lessons tailored to a wide range of abilities. Leading practical experiments that connect theory with real-world applications, inspiring students in the field of Physics. Using assessment data to monitor student progress and raise attainment in Physics. Contributing to the development and evolution of the Physics curriculum, working closely with other Science Teachers. Supporting extracurricular initiatives, helping to foster a greater appreciation for Physics beyond the classroom. What We’re Looking For We are seeking a Physics Teacher who: Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Physics or a closely related subject. Has some experience or strong understanding of teaching Physics to students aged 11–16. Is confident in delivering high-quality, engaging Physics lessons that spark curiosity and deepen understanding. Is committed to continuous professional development and keen to grow as a Physics Teacher. Is passionate about Physics and eager to inspire students to pursue the subject further. Works well as part of a collaborative team and contributes positively to the school’s ethos.
