St Anne’s Church in Soho is seeking a highly motivated and organised Community & Events Coordinator to oversee events and community engagement activities. This role is central to fostering a welcoming and dynamic environment, coordinating events, and supporting the church’s mission to serve the local community. The role primarily involves evening and weekend work, making it ideal for someone passionate about event coordination and community outreach.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage and oversee all bookings, ensuring smooth event operations.
2. Liaise with hirers, community groups, and church staff to ensure seamless event delivery.
3. Support setup and breakdown of events, including coordinating furniture and equipment needs.
4. Work closely with the café team to integrate catering requirements where applicable.
5. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including fire safety and venue capacity.
6. Provide on-site support during events, troubleshooting issues as they arise.
Community Engagement & Partnerships:
1. Develop and maintain strong relationships with community groups and local organisations.
2. Assist in planning and delivering church-led events, ensuring they align with St Anne’s mission.
3. Promote venue hire and community initiatives through appropriate channels.
4. Gather feedback from hirers and attendees to continuously improve events and services.
Administrative & Operational Support:
1. Maintain an organised and up-to-date booking system.
2. Handle event-related enquiries and communications professionally.
3. Ensure invoices are issued and payments are tracked efficiently.
4. Support the smooth running of church and venue operations in the absence of senior staff.
An Enhanced DBS Disclosure is required, which will be organised by the church upon appointment.
