We are recruiting 2 Semi Skilled Operatives at Caerphilly County Borough Council. Working hours: 37 Hours (7.24 Monday – Friday) Contract Type: Full Time/Fixed Term for 18 Months Location: Ty Penallta This is an exciting opportunity to join Team Caerphilly and provide support across the wider Caerphilly Homes Team. We pay an attractive salary of £24,790 - £25,183 and offer access to training and development opportunities. Caerphilly Homes maintain over 10,600 homes within the Caerphilly Borough providing a customer focused reactive and planned service and are now looking to expand the team. You will become part of a dynamic team delivering reactive repairs/planned maintenance works to our homes. The successful candidate must have an excellent work ethic, evidence you have the relevant trade qualifications, demonstrate a good sound knowledge of building maintenance, good communication skills, a dynamic approach to the role and be able to lead by example. For the role, we ask that you have: The ability to complete an accredited Building Craft Training Scheme or work based assessment. Knowledge of associated building trade practices relevant to the level of training received (i.e. Semi-skilled). Relevant experience within a contract environment for refurbishment, installation or new build environment.
