Job description
Job responsibilities
* Provide comprehensive medical services as defined in the core GMS contract, and additional services where appropriate.
* Deliver high-quality clinical care while working autonomously as a GP, adhering to GMC standards and the GMS contract.
* Assess patient triage messages, ensuring patients are booked in with the appropriate Clinician or signposted to services more beneficial to patient needs
* Manage a diverse caseload, including the assessment and treatment of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems.
* Develop and implement care plans in consultation with patients, providing counselling and health education.
* Complete a share of daily tasks, queries and prescription sign offs.
* Maintain accurate, contemporaneous consultation notes using SystmOne, and manage prescriptions according to guidelines.
* Participate in regular clinical meetings
* Engage with local and national healthcare initiatives to enhance and sustain service delivery.
* Contribute to the management and improvement of practice processes, ensuring adherence to policies on confidentiality, data protection, and health and safety.
* Foster effective communication within the team and with patients, upholding equality, diversity, and patient confidentiality standards.
* Engage in personal and professional development, including participating in annual appraisals, revalidation, and maintaining professional registration.
* Responsibilities will reflect requirements of the NHS GP Contracts, and as such may be subject to change as services adapt.
* Occasional home or care home visits may be required usually carried out by our PCN team.
