Responsibilities:
* Undertake duties in a thorough and methodical manner to ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are maintained.
* Arrive on duty in accordance with the rota, dressed correctly.
* Clean kitchen utensils and light equipment in a timely and efficient manner.
* Store clean kitchen utensils and equipment in a tidy and safe manner.
* Clean fixed items of equipment, tables, work tops and floors in the kitchens and food preparation rooms.
* Keep store rooms and refrigerators clean and tidy to maintain food items safely.
* Empty bins regularly and dispose of rubbish correctly.
* Report damaged or defective machinery, equipment and utensils.
* Assist chefs in simple food preparation tasks as directed.
* Take responsibility for the presentation and cleanliness of the yard.
* Report emergencies or accidents to the Head of Department.
* Carry out reasonable requests made by the Head of Department or Supervisor.
The ideal candidate will have:
* GCSEs or Equivalent.
* Previous experience in meeting and exceeding hygiene and cleanliness standards.
* The ability to work well under pressure.
* An eye for detail.
* Self-motivation.
