Our client, a charity dedicated to the research of brain tumours, is looking for a Community Fundraiser to provide support, and to help their donors and supporters fundraise, building connections to ensure a lifetime relationship between the charity and the individual.
Position: Community Fundraiser – North-East (Maternity Cover)
Location: Home based covering Yorkshire, Tyne and Wear, Northumberland, County Durham and Cleveland
Salary: Circa £28,500 per annum
Hours: Full time, 35 hours per week
Contract: Fixed term, Maternity Cover
Benefits: Holiday entitlement, 25 days per annum, excluding UK Public Holidays, access to an Employee Assistance Programme and option to join our healthcare scheme.
About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who wants to make a difference in one of the most innovative and exciting medical research fundraising charities in the UK.
As Community Fundraiser for the North East, you will help deliver the charity's strategic plans and objectives, by generating and growing income through community fundraising activities. Community fundraisers also help raise awareness by engaging people with this organisation's work, and recruiting and supporting the fundraising of individuals, challenge event participants, Fundraising Groups and Charity of the Year partnerships.

Do you have:
* Experience in community fundraising, donor management and stewardship
* Good communication skills, with the ability to converse sensitively and empathetically
* Excellent time management skills; able to work proactively unsupervised and use own initiative
* Experience working to and meeting targets
