Job summary We are looking for an enthusiastic, well motivated, practice nurse to join our busy GP Surgery. The position is permanent and full time. Riverside Surgery is a busy rural practice and the successful candidate will be a capable and confident team player who values excellent patient care. We are a five site practice so multi site working would be essential. We are looking for an experienced practice nurse with qualifications in Chronic Disease Management. Main duties of the job You will have a number of years experience and be able to cover most if not all aspects of Practice Nursing which should include Cytology, Vaccination & Immunisation, Diabetes and/or COPD. We are happy for the right candidate to have specialist training in one subject or another, we will also support you to update your skills. The right attitude to work and learning is as important as any experience is. About us The main site at Riverside surgery is a purpose built practice in the centre of Brigg with four other sites in surrounding areas. Five GP partners care for nearly 26,000 patients; we are a Training Practice, host medical students and nurses and also offer work placements. We are a dispensing practice with a pharmacy attached at two sites. The partners have specialist interests in Cardiology, Dermatology, Diabetes, Minor Surgery, and Substance Misuse. We employ ANPs with interests in; paediatrics, urgent care and palliative care. The Urgent Care Team manages on the day demand offering emergency appointments and telephone advice. Practice nurses manage chronic disease within the surgery and are supported by seven HCAs. Two Practice Pharmacist's manage prescribing and medicines optimisation. The clinical team is supported by a multi-professional administration team.
