Engaging and Supportive Maths Tutors Required in the Preston Area
Here at TP Tutors (Part of Teaching Personnel), we believe in every child's right to a quality education. We are seeking engaging and supportive Maths Tutors to match with students in the Preston area.
Many of the young people referred to us have SEN (Special Education Needs)/SEND (Special Education Needs and Disabilities), as well as other SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) requirements. We need patient and understanding educators ready to empower and inspire learners to achieve their goals.
The Role:
* Delivering 1:1 Maths tuition sessions both in person and via our virtual portal.
* Planning suitable sessions to support students towards their goals.
* Assessment and tracking of student progress.
* Open communication with guardians and case workers to ensure our young people receive the best support.
Our Ideal Tutor:
* Experience working with children or young people.
* Ability to plan and deliver engaging sessions across core and cross-curricular subjects.
* Proactive and driven to support pupils' education recovery.
* Awareness and implementation of behaviour management strategies.
* Organised and thorough, ensuring pupils stay on track to achieve their learning outcomes.
* A dedicated consultant to discuss current or future roles with you.
* Payment is made in-house, with no fees from umbrella companies.

* 13 weeks off per year.
* Opportunities for further development through CPD.
Hours are available during term time, mainly between 8:30 am and 3:30 pm, with flexibility to accommodate current commitments.
This role is particularly suitable for individuals from education or social care backgrounds.
Please note that all applicants will undergo background checks and need a current DBS certificate (with update service registration). Teaching Personnel can support your application if required.

All pay rates quoted include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This is a temporary position, with potential for permanency in the future.
