Interventional Deputy Sister/Charge Nurse
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 RN role in the progressive and expanding field of Interventional Radiology (IR).

You will be joining our highly skilled and motivated team in providing optimal care for patients undergoing I.R procedures.
Our team delivers a wide range of interventions many of which are highlighted in the NICE pathways as the first line of treatment for the public. However, I.R is also a developing specialty with introduction of new procedures, clinical practice, and role developments.
For our IR nurses and radiographers, this means the opportunity to gain diverse experiences and the opportunity to influence practice developments in pioneering teams.
Main duties of the job
As a pivotal part of our team, the post holder will be responsible for the daily management and coordination of the team to ensure that all patients receive an optimum level of safe, effective care.
They will also be responsible for supervision, leading and developing colleagues and nursing practice within I.R.
The main duties of the role will be to support the Radiology Nursing Manager, organise and lead the day-to-day work within the I.R modality, and promote a daily structured rotation of staff throughout all nursing roles.
You will receive Induction training and be supported by experienced IR RNs and radiographers.
Scheduled supervision will also be given by the Radiology Nurse manager to ensure that you are supported through any developmental needs.

Qualifications
* Registered Adult Nurse
* Teaching and assessing qualification
* Evidence of post registration training
* Recent or previous experience working within an acute care nursing
* Recent or previous experience working within Theatre/scrub or Interventional Radiology
Experience of Particular: -Knowledge -Skills -Attitude
* Ability to evidence / demonstrate key values and behaviours in line with the Trust Framework
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Able to demonstrate good leadership skills
* Good time management
* Aseptic scrub skills
* Cannulation
* Venepuncture
* IV drug administration
* ILS / ALS training
* ECG recognition
