A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to join a well-established, family-run logistics and distribution business in the North Leicestershire area. This immediate appointment is offered on a full-time permanent basis, Monday to Friday. It would suit an experienced senior warehousing management professional who enjoys leading and developing their team and has a track record in identifying areas of continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
1. Reporting directly to the Head of Warehousing, responsible for all warehousing functions including inbound product, storage, cost control, OTIF, KPI, and supplier management.
2. Provide direction and support to your team, empowering them and fostering a culture of collaboration.
3. Set quality standards and ensure that the bar for excellence is maintained.
4. Balance hands-on involvement with strategic oversight of operations.
5. Ensure exceptional customer service experience and address challenges with urgency.
6. Communicate effectively across multiple departments (commercial, financial, warehousing, transport, IT, H&S, facilities, HR).
To succeed, you will need to be an experienced warehouse and operations professional who possesses strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail. Experience with BRCGS in the handling and transport of food products in the warehouse would be an advantage, but not essential.
