Job summary We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Clinical/Counselling or Forensic Psychologist, who is interested in joining our friendly multidisciplinary team supporting people with complex mental health problems. The role is available as a full-time post consisting of two parts - 0.6WTE in Community Mental Health Rehabilitation and Enablement Service (CMHRES) and a 0.4 WTE post in Intensive Case Management for Psychosis (ICMP), or 0.6WTE in CMHRES only. Please also state if you are applying for band 7 preceptorship or for an Band 8a role Main duties of the job In this post, you will be working closely alongside other professionals (OT, nurses, doctors) providing support and interventions focused on improving the lives of individuals with complex and enduring mental health problems in the community. The service is a dedicated multi- disciplinary team of professionals, who aim to improve quality of life, promote hope, recovery, and individual resilience. In this role you will have the opportunity to work with individual patients as well as join in development of group interventions and be part of family consultation service. The role includes working closely with other professionals, supporting development of therapy skills and knowledge within the team, providing consultation to the team, alongside participating in community team assessments and crisis work. You would be a member of a friendly and supportive team/ teams. Both CMHRES and ICMP teams are based at the Erith Centre, with a free car park and access to local shops. You would have access to regular individual supervision as well as specialist supervision groups (e.g. EMDR, CBTp, FIP etc.) depending on your specialist training. There are regular psychological therapies training events, and the Trust is highly supportive of staff accessing further specialist training such as CBTp, FIP and EMDR.
