As a new starter you will be provided with a full induction program and allocated a mentor to aid your transition from being a student to a qualified radiographer. In addition, you will have a named preceptor to support you through the preceptorship program. We also have a Practice Educator to support both our students and radiographers with their training requirements. Our band 5 training schedule includes all general areas of radiography, digital fluoroscopy and CT. Other training opportunities will be available to you as they arise. Funded opportunities for CPD are well supported by the department and these include the IV Cannulation and Red Dot courses. Main duties of the job The department comprises general x-ray, A&E x-ray, MRI, Ultrasound, a fluoroscopy unit, an interventional suite, a maxillo-facial unit, and digital mammography. We have 4 CT scanners: a Siemens Somatom, a GE Revolution, a GE Evo and a GE Frontier. We also have 3 community sites at Haslemere, Milford and Cranleigh Community Hospital.All radiographers have the opportunity to contribute to the training of our students from St George's, University of London and Brighton University.
