DSFS are looking to appoint to the vacancy of ICT End User Services Support Technician.
The successful candidate will have some ICT experience, be suitably qualified and able to provide expert technical and non-technical ICT End User Support to a variety of customers and third-party suppliers across a variety of ICT Hardware and Software packages and platforms which are deployed and installed across the Trust and other remote sites across North Derbyshire.
The post holder will be expected to investigate, troubleshoot, and aim to 1st time fix and resolve a variety of support calls as they are reported and prioritised, which will involve driving to remote satellite sites across North Derbyshire or remote fixing raised issues or requests using various connection tools.
As well as supporting existing Hardware and Software, the post holder will be expected to setup, install, and configure new ICT assets and software packages as required, ensuring that all ICT policies and procedures are adhered to and that we are working within defined technical, safety standards and guidelines.
All candidates and existing Post Holder's must adopt, embrace, and demonstrate the DSFS 4 Colour approach and 4 R value approach in everything you do.
A Full Driving Licence is essential for this post; and the candidate must be prepared to travel to remote sites, where and when this is required.
Provide technical support to Trust IT users in their day-to-day use of End User IT assets.
1. Resolve faults relating to the Trust’s desktop and portable equipment to the required quality standards within the agreed timescales at both main and remote sites.
2. Configure and install new IT equipment using the Trust’s current operating system and application deployment tools.
3. Package and deploy application clients using the Trust’s current deployment tools.
4. Contribute to the writing and maintaining of IT operational procedures.
5. Prepare, test and deploy manufacturers updates and patches relating to desktop/mobile IT equipment using the Trust's current patch management tools.
6. Work alongside third-party suppliers; remotely, by telephone, over email or face to face to resolve issues or faults, deliver upgrades, apply enhancements.
7. Maintain accurate records relating to all incidents, service requests and changes using the Trust's approved reporting and recording systems and procedures.
8. Undertake scheduled back-up tape changing and backup checking procedures for all relevant servers including daily proactive infrastructure checks.
9. Contribute to the delivery of agreed ICT projects.
10. To undertake other appropriate duties as agreed from time to time which are consistent with the responsibilities and pay scale of the post.
