We are currently recruiting for a Project Engineer to support the delivery of critical nuclear projects. Role Responsibilities Support the Project Manager with day-to-day activities required to deliver work in line with project plans, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and cost objectives are met. Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to achieve common objectives. Work with the Project Manager to define the work scope for the contract or package of work, including its interfaces with other programme elements. Deliver assigned small projects, jobs, and tasks, ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with relevant procedures. Prepare and maintain project documentation, such as Project Definition Documents, Project Briefs, and Quality Plans. Develop and execute effective execution strategies and plans aligned with the overall Programme Execution Plan (PEP), detailing the "why," "what," "how," "when," and "who" for programme delivery. Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders and implement project or PEP strategies within the assigned contract or work package. Drive the delivery of contract or package activities under the guidance of the Project Manager, ensuring safe, timely, and budget-compliant outcomes that meet business and technical requirements. Monitor and manage programme progress, tracking milestones, deadlines, and budgets while providing key stakeholders with regular reports on these matters. Qualifications and Experience Honours Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent. Experience in delivering or managing the design of civil engineering projects. Chartered Engineer (MICE or MIStructE) or working towards chartership. A desire to provide technical assistance and foster collaboration within a technically oriented delivery team. Experience working with focused technical teams, including managing supplier technical direction. Experience in project team environments. Strong ability to communicate and engage effectively within the project team and, if required, with a range of stakeholders, including management, design delivery teams, Design Authority, and regulators.
