You will be working 1:1 with a child with Down Syndrome so must have previous experience of this. Roles and responsibilities: Provide 1:1 support for KS1 pupil with Down Syndrome Support class teacher in preparing and tailoring learning materials based on learner requirements Provide general classroom support Phonics support Monitor pupil progress and communicate progress with main class teacher Liaise with school SENCO and teacher in reviewing EHCP Regular communication with pupils’ parents The successful Teaching Assistant will: Have previous experience working with KS1 children Be required to work as a team member Have a passion for developing children and encouraging independence Need to have a friendly and positive persona Require a strong understanding and knowledge of safeguarding Display the skills to be an excellent role model Why Winner Education?
