Be the go-to person for the business development team and ensure all SLA targets are met for you and your team What you will be doing: • Demonstrable technical sales ability with in-depth understanding of fire doors and fire stopping applications in order to convey the highest level of confidence to our customers. • Increase our client facing and site visit activities with focus on Healthcare, Student Accommodation, Public Sector, Housing Associations, (but not limited to) – understand market demographics and form a plan to significantly develop • Attain, grow and manage a number of the businesses largest clients. • Drive profitable sales expansion with a focus on acquiring new accounts • Identify opportunities early in the sales cycle to ensure maximum share of wallet within fire stopping and passive fire related opportunities. • Deliver business development related presentations, negotiate, and close business with nominated accounts, working in coordination with location business development resources • Follow up in a timely manner on quotations for the assigned customer base • Achieve sales goals by converting, retaining and penetrating accounts • Manage incoming enquiries through effective customer relations • Lead access and persuasion steps in sales process, including qualifying, relationship building, needs evaluation, solution development/presentation and closing • Actively utilise Salesforce.com to record activities. • Actively participate in regular pipeline reviews, ensuring all CRM records are up to date and critical success factors are identified for key opportunities • Build and maintain a working knowledge of our service offerings; participate in training/coaching opportunities What you’ll have: Experience: ✓ Degree-level education, a formal recognised sales training or relevant level of experience. ✓ ASFP IFE Level 1 & 2 qualification. ✓ Significant Key Account Management experience ideally within the Public Sector/Housing or equivalent. ✓ Experience of the fire stopping, passive fire protection or related industries ✓ Confident negotiator at all levels from Finance/Procurement to on-site building managers. ✓ Proficiency in Microsoft Applications and SF.com ✓ Ability to remain calm and prioritise when faced with mounting pressure related to deadlines and multiple priorities. ✓ Well-developed oral and written communication skills, Ability to adapt your communication style to suit your audience ✓ Ability to present our offer to clients and wider industry in a cohesive, confident and compelling manner ✓ Good interpersonal skills that foster open upward and downward communication built on mutual respect ✓ Ability to interface with clients, win new work and determine their requirements; helps develops proposals including cost estimates, work plan and terms and conditions ✓ Ability to write compelling content to solution sell to clients Other attributes: ✓ Confidence to thrive under pressure ✓ Professional demeanour and attitude What you’ll get in return: ✓ Competitive salary plus commission ✓ 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays) ✓ 5% employer pension contribution ✓ Death in service benefit (4 x salary) ✓ Training and development opportunities ✓ Flexible, family friendly working environment ✓ Team/company events and competitions
