As a family-run company established in the 1970 s, we have extensive construction industry experience. We offer nationwide next-day delivery on products in stock, and have a team of specialist engineers who can service and repair all attachments brands.
Job Purpose:
A field-based sales role with responsibility for identifying new hire and sales opportunities to generate revenue and help the business grow through pro-active business development and account management of existing, new and lapsed customers.
Key Duties:
1. Responsible for the combined sales and hire target for the South/South-West
2. Plan and organise daily/weekly/monthly work schedule, ensuring full coverage of the area via:
3. Face-to-face visits to existing customers and prospectsPhone calls
4. Foster and develop relationships with lapsed and existing customers maximising revenue
5. Identify and close new business opportunities
6. Provide a high level of service to customers through understanding their requirements, responding to requests, progressing orders and providing advice
7. Work closely with the Internal Sales Executives for the South and London to develop a strategy for each region and areas of responsibilities
8. Deal with pricing enquiries, preparing and sending out quotes & following up in a timely manner, co-ordinating with Internal Sales Executives
9. Take full ownership of your own sales performance in order to meet/exceed agreed targets and KPI s
10. Promote attachment repairs / parts service to customers and prospects & liaise with Parts & Service Manager accordingly
11. Represent the company at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations
12. Attend monthly sales meetings
13. Establish, develop, and maintain positive relationships within all areas of the business
14. Keep up-to-date with industry developments, maintaining awareness of competitor activity and market trends and feedback to Head Office
15. Deal promptly and professionally with customers to address any problems or issues as that arise and feedback to Sales Team Manager
Key Competencies:
16. Strong sales background - construction industry knowledge desirable but not essential or a willingness to learn the industry
17. Customer focussed with excellent customer service skills
18. Excellent selling, communication and negotiation skills
19. Highly motivated and target driven with ability to manage pipelines
20. A confident and tenacious approach
21. Resilience and the ability to cope with rejection

24. IT Literate / Familiarity with CRM practices
