Description
EMSOU is one of the largest collaborative policing units in the country, delivering specialist capabilities on behalf of the five East Midlands police forces. EMSOU focuses on intelligence gathering and the disruption and investigation of serious and organised crime.
We are currently seeking a Senior Manager to manage, co-ordinate and provide tactical and strategic direction for the Regional Economic Crime Unit. You will manage and supervise complex and volume Fraud and Money Laundering investigations, developing opportunities for successful asset recovery and forfeiture.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead police and agency led operations as SIO, working within appropriate authority limits and carrying out tasks necessary for the successful implementation of the operation whilst managing risks to the operation and acting in accordance with legislation and procedure.
2. Plan, provide and implement fraud and financial crime investigation strategies, ensuring close working relationships both regionally and at force level.
3. Ensure teams you lead are up to date regarding their PDR’s and development plans, including the setting of objectives linked to national, regional and force control strategies.
The must haves
4. Must be educated to degree level or have equivalent professional qualification or experience.
5. To be an Accredited Financial Investigator with Part 2, Part 5 and Part 8 powers - or be willing to attain.
6. Have a working knowledge and practical experience of the relevant law in relation to money laundering investigations and confiscation investigations, including the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002
7. Working knowledge and experience of developing and evaluating complex, serious and volume financial crime investigations.

For part time hours the salary will be calculated on a pro-rata basis, this is based on the number of hours for the vacancy.
