Job Description
To support and supervise children attending the School Breakfast Club in a friendly and informal environment.
Responsibilities
1. Planning and administration.
2. Day to day running of Breakfast Club.
3. Work as part of a team.
4. Child Protection.
5. Health & Safety.
The Individual
1. Experience of working with children in any capacity - as parent, guardian or other work setting.
2. Experience of handling cash.
3. A willingness to undertake training and/or ongoing learning development.
4. Ability to relate to and respond to children between 5 and 12 years of age.
5. Interest in children and their development.
6. Ability to work as part of a team.
7. Effective communication skills.
8. Self-confidence.
9. Self-motivated.
10. Flexible and adaptable approach to work.
11. Knowledge of Basic Food Hygiene.
12. Patience and understanding.
13. Appreciation, acceptance of and a commitment to the importance of confidentiality.
14. Willingness to accept direction/delegation.
15. Able to carry groceries and move furniture to accommodate the children in conjunction with moving and handling regulations.
Temporary appointment until 27 June 2025.
Closing Date: 20 December 2024.
Starting Salary: £25,512.24 (pro rata)
£13.26 per hour.
3 hours per week (term time only - Monday, Wednesday & Friday).
