Our client, a leading property, machinery, and auctions firm with over 200 years of experience, is seeking a skilled Rural Surveyor to join their team in the United Kingdom. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to contribute to the success of a well-established company.
Position Overview
As a Rural Surveyor, you will provide expert advice to a diverse range of rural businesses and landowners across East Anglia, focusing on capital grants, environmental schemes, compulsory purchase/compensation matters, and contract farming. You will manage your own clients and workload while collaborating with the Cambridge & Ely Rural team.
Responsibilities
* Manage client files and workload independently
* Attend client meetings and provide recommended actions/fees
* Act upon and manage instructions from clients
* Liaise with clients' professional advisers when necessary
* Attend rural networking events and contribute to business development
Requirements
* Minimum 2 years' experience in the rural sector
* RICS, CAAV, or BIAC qualifications beneficial but not essential
* Good knowledge of the local area is advantageous
* Friendly, honest personality with a strong work ethic
* Excellent organisational and communication skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Commitment to delivering high-quality service and maintaining confidentiality
* Full driving licence and access to a car insured for business use
