The Commercial Finance Manager will join a Commercial function driving the solutions for connectivity within the most rural regions of the UK, enhancing the lives of millions of people across the nation.
* Building Digital UK (BDUK) is a department borne out of the desire to improve the broadband landscape in the United Kingdom, helping to ensure residents and businesses all across the country have access to affordable broadband services, by encouraging competitive markets, responsible business practices and offering viable solutions to previously-unviable areas of business.
* The successful candidate will support Commercial Finance activity across one of the three programmes BDUK delivers to achieve these goals: the Superfast Broadband programme; the Gigabit Infrastructure Subsidy (GIS) programme and; the Gigabit Broadband Vouchers Scheme (GBVS). This support will consist of strategy development, assisting on contract procurement and in-life contract & supplier management.

* Supporting Commercial Finance Leads to deliver strategic objectives across BDUK.
* Engage collaboratively with various stakeholders to ensure that consistent commercial advice and support is provided to programme teams.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues in finance, commercial, project delivery, legal and support senior leadership teams.
* Support the sourcing process, including: bid evaluation, market engagement, prioritisation and setting expectations regarding timelines, providing clarity over governance and procurement processes, troubleshooting, and ensuring the appropriate collection of data.
* Support the contract management process, including; monitoring, performance management, appropriate management of information, Value for Money (VfM) assurance, contract change requests and closures.
* Support project teams to navigate internal approvals/governance processes.
* Possibility for other ad-hoc tasks as required by the business.
