Quality Technician / CMM Programmer Northampton Permanent £35 - 45k per annum Overview EMBS Engineering is in partnership with a precision engineering company located in Northampton that is a leading specialist in the manufacturing of precision-engineered components. Due to our client's increased workload, they are looking to expand their inspection department and are therefore looking for a Quality Technician / CMM Programmer to join their growing team. Responsibilities will include; Running CMMs using PC DMIS software Liaison with other departments such as manufacturing, quality, engineering, and sales to ensure delivery of conforming products Read and interpret engineering drawings. Manual quality inspection What experience do you need for this CMM focused role? Strong quality inspection background Experience programming and/or setting & operating using PCDMIs software Ability to perform inspection activities (both visual and dimensional) using manual measuring equipment Experience of carrying out First off and Final Inspection Confidence identifying non-confirming products Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings Strong understanding of ASME standards and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) Strong attention to detail Good communications skills and the ability to work well within a team What do you get?
