Key Responsibilities:
Project Estimation: Prepare accurate cost estimates for new and existing steel fabrication projects.
Budget Management: Track project costs, ensuring alignment with budgetary goals and identifying areas for cost savings.
Contract Management: Review and negotiate contracts with clients and suppliers to secure favourable terms and manage risk.
Cost Reporting: Prepare detailed financial reports, progress valuations, and final accounts for stakeholders.
Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, clients, and suppliers to ensure efficient project delivery.
Risk Assessment: Identify and mitigate potential risks to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 3 year's experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within the steel fabrication or construction industry.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in cost management software and MS Excel; familiarity with industry software is a plus.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of contracts, pricing mechanisms, and relevant regulations in steel and construction.
