Job Purpose:
To operate and maintain Rovema machine ( Packing line ) in a manufacturing or production environment, ensuring the efficient and safe production of high-quality products. The Machine Operator is responsible for monitoring machine performance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring safety and efficiency throughout the production process.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Machine Operation:
* Operate production machinery according to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and production schedules.
* Set up machines (e.g., calibration, cleaning) before the start of production, ensuring they run at optimal efficiency.
* Monitor machine performance during operation and make adjustments as necessary to maintain product quality and output efficiency.
1. Machine Maintenance:
* Perform basic maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, and part replacements to keep the machine running smoothly.
* Follow the preventive maintenance schedule to minimize machine downtime and avoid breakdowns.
* Report any machine malfunctions or breakdowns to the maintenance team or supervisor for further repairs.
2. Quality Control:
* Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
* Make necessary adjustments to the machinery to maintain the quality of the product.
* Record and report any defects or deviations from quality standards to the quality control team.
3. Safety and Compliance:
* Follow all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
* Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required, and ensure safety guards and mechanisms are in place.
* Conduct safety checks on machinery before and during operation, identifying any potential hazards.
* Adhere to regulatory requirements, including health, safety, and environmental guidelines.
4. Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving:
* Identify and troubleshoot machine-related problems to minimize production downtime.
* Escalate complex issues to the maintenance or engineering team for resolution.
* Work with the team to continuously improve machine performance and reduce errors or malfunctions.
5. Documentation and Reporting:
* Keep accurate records of machine performance, including production rates, downtime, and any repairs performed.
* Document the quantity of goods produced, including scrap and waste data.
* Communicate effectively with supervisors and the production team regarding machine status and operational issues.
6. Housekeeping and Organization:
* Maintain a clean and organized work area around the machine.
* Ensure that all tools, parts, and materials are properly stored and ready for use.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Experience: 1-3 years of experience operating machinery in a manufacturing or industrial setting
