Contract: Permanent, full-time (onsite)
You will be based at our site in Burnley; however, your remit will cover the manufacturing and distribution functions including our depot in Widnes. There will be an element of travel required.

Responsibilities:
* Promote and strengthen our existing health and safety culture.
* Lead the health, safety, and environment agenda in collaboration with the Manufacturing Site Lead.
* Ensure site progress in line with the national safety agenda, measured by a combination of KPI’s, internal/external audits, and project completion.
* Identify improvement opportunities in HSE and cross-functionally.
* Build and maintain strong relationships at all levels to drive the safety and environment agenda forward.
* Provide advice and guidance on site-specific projects/installations.
* Manage and develop a team of HSE Advisors across different locations.
Requirements:
* NEBOSH diploma or equivalent.
* Experience in a Health & Safety Manager role, ideally within a manufacturing environment (FMCG).
* Proven ability to make significant decisions in a timely manner.
* Experience of delegating and inspiring others to take responsibility for HS&E.
* Evidence of improving the safety culture through recognized channels.
* Understanding of all aspects of Health, Safety & Environment (including legislation, audit handling, and management systems).
* Ideally hold an IEMA Certificate in Environmental Management or Foundation level; experience on a permitted site or knowledge of environmental systems is also considered.
