Job summary The post holder will deliver the health protection function for the Isle of Wight Council working closely with the Director of Public Health, the Consultant in Public Health and the councils emergency management team, together providing focused health protection coordination and leadership. There is also a preventative aspect to observe and report on data and trends, influence partners, deliver training and rehearse responses to incidents, and deliver behaviour change marketing campaigns e.g. to take up screening and vaccination. The post holder will play a key role in the development and sharing of information to the public and community leaders to reduce risk and harm to health during incident response activities on the Island.
