We are currently looking for a “Bioprocess Scientist” to join a leading life sciences company based in the Berkshire area. As the Bioprocess Scientist, you will be responsible for designing, executing, and analyzing experiments to optimize and scale-up bioprocesses for biologics production.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your duties as the Bioprocess Scientist will be varied; however, the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
1. Design, execute, and analyse experiments to optimise and scale-up bioprocesses for biologics production.
2. Set up, operate, and maintain lab-scale bioreactors for mammalian cell culture, ensuring optimal conditions for cell growth and productivity.
3. Engage in routine mammalian cell culture workflows, including media preparation, revival, and subculture as required for experiments.
4. Generate experimental results and review respective scientific documentation, ensuring lab procedures are adhered to and supporting safety assessments.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Bioprocess Scientist, we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
1. Relevant degree in a life sciences or engineering discipline.
2. Proven industry experience in biotechnology, particularly with mammalian cell culture.
3. A working knowledge and practical experience with bioreactor operation and cell culture media preparation.
