Are you interested/passionate about education, teaching and development of staff? An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the professional lead nursing team in the BCHC Children and Families Division. You will be responsible for organising, delivering and evaluating specialist training to a range of staff across the 0-19 clinical group and Birmingham Forward Steps (BFS) partnership.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Ensuring that staff are competent to meet the skills required for delivery of the Healthy Child Programme, mandatory training, and role-specific training needs.
2. Maintaining accurate training data.
3. Utilising competency frameworks to evaluate and provide feedback on skills and knowledge development.
4. Liaising and communicating with staff to encourage uptake of training and sign off of competencies.
5. Organising and delivering specialist training, including theoretical training and practical demonstrations.
6. Developing and reviewing guidance, newsletters, and training packages for Health staff.
7. Advising and supporting 0-19 staff in developing and regularly reviewing policies and procedures.
8. Contributing to practice-related improvement plans to enable learners to achieve the required standard of proficiency.
9. Working within the NMC code of professional conduct: standards for conduct, performance, and ethics, exercising professional accountability at all times.
10. Reporting back to the Deputy Professional Lead any identified concerns.
11. Managing your own time and prioritising your own workload.
