BASIC FUNCTION
1. Perform analytical instrumentation and wet chemistry analysis on raw materials, bulk batches and finished goods.
2. Maintain, troubleshoot, and resolve instrumentation issues.
3. Provide training in analytical techniques such as instrumental analysis and wet chemistry.
MAJOR DUTIES
1. Perform analytical instrumentation and wet chemistry analysis for timely evaluation of raw ingredients, cosmetic drug bulk batches and finished goods. Assure that appropriate testing procedures are followed and that necessary controls are maintained.
2. Assist with review and establish procedures to maintain all analytical instruments in proper calibration. Initiate preventive maintenance to ensure a minimum of downtime on equipment. Maintain calibration program for analytical instruments.
3. Perform varied analyses on raw materials, bulks and finished products.
4. Prepare and maintain appropriate records to assure compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements.
5. Investigate raw material, bulk batches and finished goods out of specification test results. This includes interaction with vendors, Revlon operations and other Revlon sites, recommending corrective action and tracking issues to closure.
6. Requisition chemicals and other laboratory supplies as needed.
7. Perform special projects as requested by management, reporting results, and recommending solutions/corrective actions.
