Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various warehouse tasks including stock management, materials handling, and ensuring the smooth operation of shipping and receiving processes. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed.
Working hours: 9.15-18.00
Responsibilities
1. Stock and organise inventory in designated areas of the warehouse.
2. Perform heavy lifting and manual handling of goods as required.
3. Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
4. Build and prepare orders for dispatch through picking and packing processes.
5. Load and unload goods from lorries, ensuring accuracy in shipments.
6. Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, including checking incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy.
7. Maintain a clean and organised work environment to promote safety and efficiency.
8. Utilise AS400 or similar systems for inventory tracking and management.
Requirements
1. Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred but not essential.
2. Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 25 kg) consistently throughout the shift.
3. Familiarity with materials handling techniques and safety practices.
4. Experience with picking, packing, shipping, and receiving processes is advantageous.
5. Forklift certification is desirable; training may be provided for the right candidate.
6. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy.
7. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
