NHS HIGHLAND Raigmore Hospital Service Clinical Lead Obstetrics & Gynaecology 1 PA Responsibility Allowance Current Salary will Apply 3 year fixed term with option for extension by mutual agreement for one year only Thereafter there will be an opportunity for the incumbent to re-apply, but only in open competition with any other interested and eligible applicant Expressions of interest are invited from existing Consultants and Specialty Doctors within Obstetrics & Gynaecology based at Raigmore Hospital to be appointed to the role of Service Lead for the Department. This post has dedicated protected time for the role as well as appropriate remuneration and defined roles and responsibilities and sits within the Women & Child Division. The role of this post is to lead, co-ordinate and support together with members of the general management team, the planning, redesign and delivery of all clinical services provided within the Department, including any hosted services and to participate as required in the corporate management committee structure of Raigmore Hospital and NHS Highland in partnership with the Service and Divisional General Managers and the Divisional Clinical Director. Applicants are expected to meet the following criteria of knowledge, training and experience required to do the job Current practice as a medically qualified consultant for NHS Highland within a department of Raigmore Hospital for which the post has a medical line management responsibility The post holder will be clinically qualified and appropriately registered with evidence of relevant CPD Excellent communication skills and evidence of problem solving/solution finding traits; Highly developed written communication skills and presentation techniques; An assertive but diplomatic approach to consultation and negotiation; A high level of interpersonal, strategic and technical skills combined with a supportive and visible leadership style.
