Direct Medics are seeking a dynamic, senior HR leader with a strong drive and approachable personality to help shape the future of a rapidly expanding company. Direct Medics is experiencing high growth & recognised within the Healthcare space for providing Quality professionals for our clients. In this role, you will design & lead key HR initiatives, including HR strategy projects, HRIS management, performance evaluations, succession planning, compensation and benefits, leadership development and employer branding. This is a hands-on position where success requires not only strategic vision but also a proactive, involved approach to every aspect of the business. You should be comfortable taking initiative, delivering on critical projects, and collaborating with senior management and key stakeholders. Requirements Key Responsibilities: Partner with the executive team to design and drive the HR agenda and contribute to business success. Advise and implement on Benefit and reward programs, remaining relevant and competitive. Drive engagement and retention: Foster a positive and inclusive work environment by managing employee relations, addressing employee concerns, and resolving conflicts. Implement policies and procedures to promote employee engagement and connection between their work and Direct Medics objectives and strategy. Engage with and support stakeholders with the development of their teams. Advise on recognition and reward programmes, fostering a culture of excellence. Oversee training and career development programs to ensure growth and retention. Devise and lead projects aimed at improving HR reporting, processes, and systems. Ensure compliance with employment laws and stay ahead of regulatory changes in all operating regions (UK & IRE). Working in partnership with the operational management team to ensure effective objective setting & performance reviews. Guiding and coaching managers on all employee relations including disciplinary, grievance and performance management. Guiding and advising managers on all aspects of local laws and regulatory requirements. Build and lead a team of HR generalists to provide first-line HR support to the business. About you: You will need to have experience supporting and creating the HR agenda. You will also lead on policy & procedures, leadership development, reward, HRIS and other specific projects. MCIPD qualified with demonstrable experience in a senior position. 5-10 years' experience of working at senior HR Operations Manager / HR Director level within a similar setting. Experience of working in a small to medium sized business with aspirations in growth. Strong IT, data, and technical skills. A superb people manager, experienced in managing, motivating, and developing a HR team. Have the skills and credibility to effectively coach and advise directors and managers. Commercially minded with the ability to leverage data and logic in support of making a business case. High degree of self-confidence with the ability to challenge. Collaborative with an enabling coaching style. A proactive approach to stakeholder engagement and experience of designing and delivering on HR initiatives. Bonus Skills: Evidenced Experience of providing expert Employment Law advice to key stakeholders. Experience in implementations and migrations is advantageous. Have experience in start–up environments – treating this like a new business.
