Northeast Engineering is a transport engineering company specialising in vehicle motor body building. Established in 1999, we have a reputation for building high quality customised truck bodies for clients across Australia. Our Burton facility employs over 50 experienced tradespersons, and we are on the hunt for a salesperson to join our dynamic team.
About the Role
As an Accessory Fitter for Northeast Engineering, your primary responsibilities are to support the production by undertaking the fitment of truck bodies and accessories. This includes operating and maintaining tools and machinery, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and performing quality checks to maintain the highest standards of production.
Your key responsibilities will be:
1. Fitting accessories to the body and chassis including but not limited to; Fitting Air / Electrical trailer brakes, Bullbars, BC Radios, Fridges, Roof Scoops, and Sun Visors
2. Operating and maintaining both hand and power tools and machinery
3. Following safety protocols and maintaining a clear working environment
4. Performing quality checks and reporting any issues to supervisors
5. Supporting the team with general labour tasks as required
About You
A successful candidate will have the following attributes:
1. Strong understanding of Air Trailer brake systems with an automotive background
2. Ability to work in a collaborative environment
3. Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
4. Good communication and problem-solving skills
5. Strong commitment to safety
