Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
As an Apprentice Chef at Bella’s, your duties and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
* Preparing, cooking and service of all food items produced within the kitchen.
* Responding to specific dietary requests / special requirements, adapting menu provision as necessary.
* Work to ensure that customer needs are met at all times.
* Assist senior chef where required in creating new menu items, recipes and developing dishes.
* Following the budget set by the Restaurant Manager.
* Ensuring standard portions are maintained alongside the consistent quality of dishes.
* Ensure all food items are labelled and stored, in accordance with the University Food Safety Policy.
* Maintain a clean and safe kitchen and ensure sanitation practices in the kitchen.
* Carry out any other duties reasonably requested by a member of the Management Team.
