Due to expansion, we are seeking a Purchasing Manager to oversee all purchasing and stock control activities within the business. Continually review suppliers using supplier performance measures (KPI’s) and target piece part cost reductions whilst minimizing stock holdings.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Grow an effective purchasing team, focused on ensuring a goal of zero delays or stoppages through to production.
2. To create and maintain an effective organizational structure, establishing and implementing procedures for maintaining high standards of purchasing and stock control of parts, in a working environment appropriate for the contract electronics manufacturing sector and in-line with business objectives.
3. Supplier selection and approval to ensure that all parts and equipment are bought at the most competitive prices whilst maintaining build quality to meet customer requirements.
4. Formulate and recommend stock, purchasing policies and programs that guide and develop the organisation safely in continual improvement, maintaining and improving its competitive position and enhancing the cash flow and profitability of the operation.
