Birmingham City Women Football Club is seeking a Part Time Nutritionist in the Women’s Professional Game Academy (PGA) department. The role will be based at the Knighthead Performance Centre.
As a Category One academy, the PGA represents the highest standard of youth development in women’s English football, providing a foundation for success. Our mission extends beyond the pitch—we cultivate a culture of hard work, teamwork, drive, and passion, ensuring holistic development for our young female footballers.
You will play a key role in shaping the dietary and nutritional practices of our players, ensuring they have the knowledge, tools, and support to enhance their performance and overall well-being. This is a unique opportunity to make an impact on the next generation of female footballers in a high-performance environment.
The following days clarify locations and days required:
* Monday – U21’s 2-6pm at the KPC
* Tuesday – U21’s 2-5pm at the KPC / U16’s 6-8pm at Solihull College
* Friday - U21’s 2-5pm at the KPC / U16’s 6-8pm at Solihull College
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver evidence-informed nutrition education through one-on-one support, workshops, and educational materials.
* Provide tailored, practical nutrition advice based on individual players' needs and goals (involving parents/guardians where necessary).
* Create engaging, interactive experiences for players, such as cooking, shopping, and budgeting sessions to enhance their nutrition knowledge and habits.
* Maintain supplement and snack stock in line with UKAD and SENR codes of conduct.
* Collaborate with the broader staff group (medical, coaching, physical performance) to ensure holistic support and aligned practices across the academy.
Skills & Abilities:
* In-depth knowledge of sports nutrition principles tailored to the needs of female athletes.
* Ability to create and implement individualized nutrition plans.
* Strong communication and presentation skills for engaging workshops and initiatives.
* Knowledge of psychological aspects of nutrition, including behaviour change strategies.
* Collaborative team player with the ability to adapt and prioritise team goals.

What are we looking for in you?
* SENR Accredited Sports Nutritionist (essential)
* ISAK Award Level 1 (or willingness to work toward)
* UKAD Clean Sport Advisor (or willingness to work toward)
* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and travel with teams for matches, tours, and trips.
* Must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
* A clean, full driving license is required.
* Successful applicants will be required to undergo a DBS check.
* Employment is subject to medical clearance.
* Experience working with elite academy and female athletes.
